When the words are too heavy
You come to my rescue
On your velvet skin
I press myself in turn

We salivate again
We love each other like leeches

My obsession is my eau-de-vie*
I'll pay the price
I cast a spell

When the words are too heavy
I stay hopeful
You come to my rescue
All my efforts
On your velvet skin
I'm still looking
I press myself in turn

We salivate again
We love each other like leeches

My obsession is my eau-de-vie
I'll pay the price

*Eau-de-vie literally means ''water of life'', but is usually used to refer to a brandy made from fermented fruits. In this case I believe he meant it as ''water of life'' and not brandy, but I left it in its recognizable form just in case.
